A Babbar Khalsa International terrorist, involved in multiple heinous crimes, has been extradited from the UAE, said Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav on Saturday.<\/p>\n
Parminder Singh alias Pindi, a close aide of foreign-based terrorists Harwinder Singh alias Rinda and Happy Passia, has been brought from Abu Dhabi in the UAE in close coordination with the central agencies, the DGP said in a post on X.<\/p>\n
He said Pindi was involved in multiple heinous crimes, including petrol bomb attacks, violent assaults and extortions in Batala, Gurdaspur.<\/p>\n
\u201cActing swiftly on a red corner notice (RCN) requested by the Batala police, a dedicated four-member team led by a senior police officer travelled to the UAE on September 24, coordinated with the Ministry of External Affairs and the UAE authorities.<\/p>\n
\u201cAfter completing all legal formalities, the police team successfully brought the accused back to face justice,\u201d said Yadav.<\/p>\n
Parminder Singh alias Pindi was actively involved in criminal and terror-related activities for several years leading up to 2023, with his operations intensifying in the Batala\u2013Gurdaspur region.<\/p>\n
He was identified as the local handler of a terror funding module backed by Pakistan-based terrorist Harwinder Singh Rinda and gangster Happy Passia, and was directly involved in orchestrating attacks on liquor vends in September and October 2023. Following these incidents, a 10-day operation led to the arrest of five of his operatives.<\/p>\n
After fleeing India, Pindi remained absconding for nearly a year, until a Red Corner Notice was issued by Interpol on June 13, 2025, at the request of Punjab Police.
